Donating to Metro Relief means that staff and volunteers have the resources to fulfill the mission of engaging in relationships to combat homelessness so that… it is rare, brief and nonrecurring.

With homelessness dramatically on the rise across the country, it’s likely you live, work or play in an area in which homeless people are struggling. Some believe people experiencing homelessness are problems to be solved. We believe they are portals to the heart of God

Metro Relief’s innovative model of mobile homeless ministry offers both: a way off the streets and into the Kingdom of God.

Donor Advised Funds are the fastest-growing giving method and are a tax-efficient way to manage charitable donations. Contact our offices to obtain the information you need to recommend a grant from your Donor Advised Fund.

Giving stock that has been held more than 12 months, offers a two-fold tax savings: a tax-deduction for the full fair market value of the stock on the date of the gift and capital gains can be avoided. For stock transfer information, please call Metro Relief’s offices at 214.705.3555.

Individual Retirement Account (IRA) owners over age 70½ may make a transfer of up to $100,000 per year to qualified charities, including Metro Relief. IRA charitable rollovers are tax-free and not included in adjusted gross income. An IRA charitable rollover may fulfill part or all of your required minimum distribution (RMD).

Matching gifts help Metro Relief create a bigger impact! You can further our mission by asking if your company offers a corporate giving program. It’s easy! Just request a charitable gift form from your company and submit your completed form (PDF) via email to Katie@metrorelief.org or call our office at 214.705.3555.

Planned gifts allow your values to continue beyond your lifetime. Planned gifts are typically made through your will or estate plans to benefit Metro Relief as part of your ministry legacy. A bequest through your will allows you to designate a specific dollar amount or a percentage of your estate to Metro Relief. A bequest showcases your values to your heirs and can reduce the amount of your taxable estate, which may increase the actual amount available to loved ones.
