Peace is more than just the absence of conflict or state of rest. It includes completeness or wholeness, and it points to the presence of something else.
Our staff leading Whitney to Christ.
The only way to completeness is through a relationship with Jesus. Whitney discovered that after she was waiting at Metro Relief’s office door one morning as we arrived for our weekly staff meeting. As she joined us to worship and pray, God moved in Whitney. She asked how she could accept Jesus as her Lord and Savior. She held our hands and together, we prayed. We then reconnected Whitney with a relative willing to take her in. Metro Relief sent her home by bus that very day, rejoicing that her heavenly home, too, was now secure. Whitney now has peace.
Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.

Give the gift of peace this holiday season by providing long-distance transportation to get someone back to family. Every $100 gift sends someone experiencing homeless back to their family.
