Blessed by helping others
I can not stress the importance of Metro Relief in my life. It has helped me to see the importance of helping others through the eyes of the ones who actually need help. Whether it is simply to stop and listen or perhaps the wonderful opportunity to speak with and pray with individuals that need such things. I am blessed. Weekly I go on one of their Bus Outreaches to a park known as “Unity” in near downtown Ft. Worth, Texas. The park is an island in the midst of a sea of hopelessness.
Many ways to help
Two or so days a week I am able to help in Metro Relief’s Pantry outreach. In this outreach we are able to feed and help locate employment. We also help with addiction problems. We are privileged to help over 150 families weekly in our city and adjacent cities. Over 92% of all donations to Metro Relief goes directly to the outreach programs. The remaining proceeds goes to take care of electricity and rent, etc.

Opportunity to serve
Yes, we are truly blessed to have a non-profit organization such as Metro Relief in our city known as The Colony in North Texas. My wife passed away 15 months ago and it has helped me regain some of the loss I experienced with her passing. I look forward to every week and my participation with the different aspects of Metro Relief’s operation. Please go to the events calendar to see more of what they do to help the North Texas area. Their slogan is These Things We Do… That Others May Live! Words can not describe the true meaning of this saying until one has the opportunity to serve.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]You have an opportunity as well. You can make a donation (items or money) or sign-up to volunteer. I hope to see you out there![/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
