Metro Relief is currently working to expand and grow to new cities in the United States. In fact, this expansion effort is one of the main goals for 2015-2016 for the organization. “We want to help other non-profit groups in the United States set up outreaches serving those who live on the streets, similar to what we do here in Dallas/ Ft. Worth. We want to do this by sharing our resources and experiences with them and by helping them set up a viable organization that can serve the neighborhoods in their area. We want people off the streets. We want people to receive the help and support they need to change their lives. Metro Relief can help those in need across the United States, in every American city”, explains Founder, Austin Bonds.
Metro Relief’s next mission will be
The first stop in setting up a new Metro Relief organization is Columbus, Ohio. With an already highly existent support base in Ohio, Metro Relief will begin a bus outreach to the homeless in downtown Columbus. Kevin and Amy Ramsey, the new Directors, will start up this new location with the help and experience of those in Dallas/Ft. Worth. Metro Relief Columbus will partner with an existing ministry which is offering meals, clothing, and educational and medical services, but does not have a mobile outreach. With Amy and Kevin’s prior experience in missions and helping others overcome drug addiction, we foresee them being very successful in Columbus and a great addition to the Metro Relief team.
