Join us on the Big Sleep Out
Join us for a night outside to raise awareness and funds to help combat homelessness over the winter months.
Sleeping rough, which refers to the practice of sleeping in public spaces, is a particularly visible form of homelessness. In the United States, the annual Point-in-Time Count in 2022 found that there were approximately 580,000 people experiencing homelessness on a given night - 106,000 of which were sleeping rough.
This year, on December 6th, Metro Relief will host its first Big Sleep Out. Metro Relief is committed to addressing homelessness in the Metroplex through our person-centered, mobile-first approach. We know the importance of our community's understanding of the complex challenges our friends face. The Big Sleep Out was born out of this idea. What we will experience in one night is just a glimpse into the daily reality of many of our friends.
Metro Relief has set a goal to raise $50,000 before the Big Sleep Out, and we ask that you aim to raise at least $500 through your unique profile.
